Quality Requirements for Suppliers and External Service Providers

It is the responsibility of the supplier or external service provider to provide the item according to the definitions of the purchased item as defined in the purchase order.

All requirements detailed in this quality specification are mandatory as part of the item order.

The supplier is obligated to meet the end customer quality requirements as specified in the specification on the purchase order.

T. Fiber Optic asks all of its suppliers to meet the requirements of the internal organizational code of ethics.

T. Fiber Optic is entitled to decide on the scope of the acceptance inspection performed on a purchased item upon its entry into the company.

The supplier is responsible for using test equipment that has been tested, verified, or calibrated by a laboratory accredited to ISO 17025.

The supplier is responsible for conducting professional and quality training in order to maintain the competence of employees performing the work and to ensure that only qualified and competent employees perform the work.

The supplier is responsible for using materials that are valid only and according to the manufacturer's specifications.

The supplier is responsible for maintaining quality records for at least 7 years.

Packaging and transportation: Each shipment must be of the same production batch. Mixed production batches will be returned.

The supplier will avoid any damage to the product during the transportation, production, and storage stages. The parts will be packaged in a way that will prevent corrosion and mechanical damage. As part of the packaging processes, the supplier will ensure that there are no foreign bodies (F.O.D.) inside the packaging.

It is the supplier's responsibility to attach a COA/COT certificate of the product/material. Each item will be provided with a COC of the supplier and the manufacturer of the item, with traceability between the documents — i.e., a link from the supplier's COC to the manufacturer's COC — in addition to a clear indication of the production portion/series number, identifying the batch number on the item or packaging of the requested item.

It is the manufacturer's responsibility to keep all production records for at least 3 years, unless otherwise specified in the order.

For materials/products with a shelf-life limit (expiry), indicate an expiration date on each package, including the date of manufacture and any special storage conditions required.

Notwithstanding any other provision in this order, if a counterfeit and/or suspected counterfeit component (the "Counterfeit Component") is found in the system and/or in a part of the system supplied pursuant to the order, the matter will be transferred for investigation by the ordering party. The counterfeit component will be confiscated, and the client will immediately report the case to the client as well as to the law enforcement authorities.

The supplier will be required to bear all costs — direct and indirect, including permanent damage, damage to reputation, loss of revenue, and third-party claims — for the difference between the payment made to it and the purchase of an original component from another supplier, as well as any logistical and operational costs.

The supplier shall take the following steps to prevent the supply of counterfeit components: use a quality control system to prevent the supply and use of counterfeit components; purchase only genuine components from the manufacturer and only from an authorized distributor; obtain from the entity from which the component was purchased a certificate detailing this, and provide the customer with a copy of that certificate along with a document detailing the component's suitability to the customer's requirements as provided to the supplier.

The supplier will test the components in accredited laboratories as required.

It is the supplier's responsibility to verify with T. Fiber Optic that the item description and the documents defining it in the order are in the appropriate edition — i.e., that the drawing version (and accompanying documents, if any) is compatible with the version of the purchase order.

The supplier will communicate T. Fiber Optic's quality requirements to its sub-suppliers as far as they relate to this order, and will verify them upon receiving products from its sub-supplier.

The supplier will maintain a system for managing the quality processes taking place within it.

The supplier will ensure that employees are aware of quality and its importance.

Sub-suppliers engaged in special processes on behalf of the supplier to which the order was transferred must be approved by T. Fiber Optic as a condition of their operation.

All suppliers will provide T. Fiber Optic with specifications containing the safety rules for the product they supply, according to the degree of applicability.

The supplier will report to T. Fiber Optic any change in the product or work processes insofar as they relate to this order, and will receive confirmation of the change before proceeding.

An external service provider will not carry out a repair or use-as-is of products supplied to T. Fiber Optic — even after passing the MRB committee — without obtaining the written approval of T. Fiber Optic.
